Welcome

I want to dedicate a place on the internet where I can share my thoughts and feelings to everyone on my biggest passion, my internal world. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my education, as a healthcare provider and as a spiritual person. I want to encourage more conversations to happen between a community of people who want to evolve and who want to connect on a deeper level. My approach has always been with the general theme of authenticity. My intention is to not find a quick fix to anyone’s problems, rather to find a way to support each other as we experience our own individual evolution process. I hope we can share our thoughts and feelings in an honest way and help support each other as we go down our paths. Thank you for taking the time to read my thoughts and if you have any questions or other thoughts of your own please share them. I look forward to hearing from everyone.

Thanks,

Ben Dorfman

  1. I am frustrated with my recent diagnosis of diabetes…am on Metformin, followed no sweets, no white foods completely, lost considerable weight ( am not overweight in the beginning) still those numbers on the blood pricking chart every morn are way higher than they should be..any help from Chinese herbs?

  2. I simply loved reading your blog!! My New Year Wishes to you and God bless you to empower you more and enlighten the world with your perceptions. We will be eagerly waiting for your notes on the other meridians.

    Thanking you and regards

  3. Thanks for posting notes on all the meridians. The San Jiao meridian diagram/picture is not appearing when clicked. Kindly repost once again.

Pl mention some good books on Acupuncture/Chineses meridians for reference.

    Regards

    • Hey Sai,
I took a look at the San Jiao meridian and the picture seems to be working fine. You should not have to click on it, it should just be there as you scroll down. In terms of books, here are two amazing books that we used in school to learn the meridians:
      1) A Manuel of Acupuncture by Peter Deadman
      2) The Foundations of Chinese Medicine: A Comprehensive Text for Acupuncturists and Herbalists. Second Edition by Giovanni Maciocia.

For less intense books there are:
1)Between Heaven and Earth by Harriet Beinfield
2)The Web That Has No Weaver: Understanding Chinese Medicine by Ted Kaptchuk

I hope that helps. Let me know

      Ben

  4. I am trying to correct my scoliosis (which developed a few years ago) through stretching. I am sooo twisted, and I’m only 26! Understanding the meridians and visualizing the points really help me to feel how things are supposed to connect. I’m gettin there. Your site is very helpful in explaining all the meridians, and the detailed pictures are very much appreciated.. thank you so much!

    • Hey KC,
I am glad my posts on the different meridians helped you. I understand the challenges with scoliosis since I see quite a few patients who have the same challenge. Please let me know if you have any other questions about acupuncture and Chinese medicine. Good luck.

      Thanks,
      Ben Dorfman
